Raheem Sterling
Former Chelsea players manager Frank Lampard has already given his verdict on Raheem Sterling after claims Chelsea might consider making a bid for the Manchester City forward this summer.
News that broke yesterday linked Sterling to a sensational and relatively surprise move to Stamford Bridge ahead of next season.
The 27-year-old's contract with the newly crowned Premier League champions expires next June and there has been some debate as to whether or not he will extend his stay.
It looks like Chelsea are plunging into this uncertain situation as they prepare for what is likely to be an all-out convulsion to Thomas Tuchel's side.
The Cobham Academy graduate is still only 21 and has plenty of room to grow, improvements that were apparent when it became available, mainly in the months leading up to Christmas. But while Sterling's hypothetical arrival from Etihad HudsonOdoi should pose another hurdle, his former manager simply believes he could possibly beat him.
"I don't like to talk about players from other clubs but Raheem Sterling is a great example of an incredibly talented player whose work ethic has only fueled that talent and has absolutely improved in a short period of time with the dedication I've seen him play as a complete player that we're all excited about," Lampard said in 2019.
"He's a great role model for Callum because Callum has those talents." Maybe the £49million (BBC) celebrity city is just that Ingredient that Hudson Odoi wants to bring him back to life.
