 Callum Hudson-Odoi is reportedly one step closer to leaving Chelsea as Borussia Dortmund are set to loan the young star out again.

   According to Sky Sports, the 21-year-old's representatives are in talks with Dortmund over a loan deal following recent reports that the player  Thomas Tuchel had communicated his desire to leave Stamford Bridge.   

The winger wants to play regularly in the first team, something he has rarely seen at Chelsea, where he made just 11 Premier League appearances last season and is well behind fellow strikers Raheem Sterling, Kai Havertz and Kai Havertz in the pecking order Christian Pulisic lies. 

 Dortmund almost loaned the England international on loan last summer  but the proposal was rejected and before that he was also the subject of several offers from Bayern Munich.  

 Although he has suffered from injuries, Hudson-Odoi is a highly regarded player, having scored 16 goals and provided 22 assists in his short career, winning the Champions League, Europa League and Club World Cup and  also becoming a Chelsea Young Player was appointed of the year 2019.

While Chelsea are only interested in leaving him  on loan, Hudson-Odoi  had just two years left on his contract and can hope  a successful loan will result in a permanent move next summer when his asking price is lower. 

  He is one of a number of players expected to leave Stamford Bridge before the September 1 transfer window closes, with Marcos Alonso  very likely moving to Barcelona at some point, while Timo Werner is set to return to RB Leipzig on a permanent deal.
