The Blues manager fielded three of the club's summer signings at Goodison Park and they all  did very well in their Chelsea debuts.

Kalidou Koulibaly and Raheem Sterling formed the starting XI, while Marc Cucurella came on as a second-half substitute.

Cucurella, in particular, had spent very little time with the team after his arrival but still managed to impress the coach.

“[He was] very sure on the ball, very intelligent at escaping pressure."Well done on three of them [signings]."

While Tuchel is clearly happy with his  summer signings, he confirmed that Chelsea are still in the market for even more players   yes, a little bit," admitted the German  when asked if he could play this summer wants to sign new players It's not just about  quality, it's also about bringing in new energy, new ideas, fresh minds and habits and guys who suddenly fight in completely new roles."

"New players bring that with them too, not only Quality and quality doubts [of current players]   “Well yeah, we'd like to [sign more players] and  see if we can do it.

"If not, we'll push this team to the limit."

According to an earlier claim by The Athletic's David Ornstein, Chelsea are working on potential deals for Leicester City's Wesley Fofana and the Barcelona duo; Frenkie de Jong and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.
